CHET ~ חטא
"The Beauty & The Beast"

         A mystery from the scriptures and the holy tongue related to the end times
      There is a specific reason why they are right next to each other in the alphabet

CHET:
ח
Gematria = 8
Sound = Gutteral “ch” sound
Meaning = Comes from the Hebrew word Chai ‘ח which is short for Chaim חיים LIFE
                    A common phrase when drinking wine is to say L'chaim 'To Life'.
When the Israelites applied the blood of the paschal lamb to the doorposts (m'zuzot) and lintel, it formed  the shape of a chet ח synonymous with life in the Jewish mind.
We also have the word Rachamim which means mercy!

The Paradox = the Hebrew word chayah   ח‘ה  which actually means “BEAST”
When we read about the beast in Revelation, it is actually using the Hebrew word Chayah!
Why?

But first let us look at the letter Tet ט
Gematria = 9
Sound = ‘T’ sound
Meaning = Mortar or ashes
  • There is a duality within letter ~ Tet and Tav, Chet and Chaf
  • Discussion among the rabbi’s about how the letter Tet should be spelled:
     ט‘ט OR ט‘ת … ("why should this matter")
  •  And it points back to the duality of the letter and the duality of those things we go through …
          Rabbi Akiva says, “everything was created from Ashes and returning to Ashes” …
         And for this reason it was decided it should be spelled  ט‘ט

Let’s look at the two letters together and its unique spelling of the word:
  • The word in Hebrew is unique in the way that connecting the chet to the tet somehow brings in the Alef
חטא  = CHET
Meaning =  to sin; (law) offense, misdemeanor to miss the target or be off target, to miss the Torah
               The rabbi’s explain that they are connected somehow in a way that the Chet drags in the Tet                             to the word, but then the question became, “what is the Alef doing at the end” …
Remember that Alef is the name of G-D
  • The rabbi’s continue by explaining that while the chet and tet draws us to sin, we look to the Alef/Aluf, the One who can help us to return.
  • It is understood that HaSatan was angry, saying that the Alef should not be there and he wanted to remove it …
  • G-D did not let him remove it because He wanted us to remember that through Him we always have the capability to return back to Him

The Letter CHET:
Has 3 sides = it is made of 3 vavs which is the equivalent of 18 which is the same as the word Chai 'ח
  • This is the picture of one who is committing sin, but is asking HaShem for life, for mercy!
  • And for the one who is in sin, there is always potential for Chai, for life!
  • This is the grace and message of G-D, we can call on Him through the 3 vavs which means life!

Revelation 13:1
The word “Chayah” (beast) straight from the New Covenant Scriptures
  • The beast is a picture of Satan who tries to come and take our lives away from us, he seeks to      devour and to take our very lives.
Rev 13:1 ~ Omed Al Chol Hayam V’erehe Chayah Olah Min-Hayam.  V’lah Eser Karnayim V’Shevha Rashim Uvkarneyah Asarah K’tarim U’vrasheya Geedufim
  • The job of the beast is to cause us to sin!
  • Interesting that most commentators tell us that this Chaya is a picture of Rome … generally          identifying the first beast as Nero—the emperor of Rome. A picture of Christianity.
Let us look a little closer:
  • John is asked to calculate the number of the beast.  Some people argue that the New Covenant is not      written in Hebrew.  This is impossible … how/why?  Let us look together …
                   B’azot Chachmah Mi’Shbinah Lo Yechashev Mispar HaChayah Ki Mispar Adam Hu                          U’Misparu Shes Meot V’Shishim V’shesh … the number is 666
  • John did not expect them to have difficulty in understanding because he is speaking in Hebrew.     We know something amazing!  This is speaking about something that already happened, but it will happen again … everything is cyclical.
  • This is a picture of emperor, Nero
         If we take the Hebrew term Neron Kesar (Caesar Neron), נרון  קסר we get the number 666
         If we take the Latin spelling, we see נרו  קסר , gematria of 616
  • This is a book of prophecy, telling us of the beast who came to fight with the saints.  It is an event that has already happened, and yet it will happen yet again!
We see this only through the Hebrew language … it is giving us a great warning!
In Conclusion
  • HaSatan tries to take our Chaim, found in the letter chet and joins himself with the Tet, making the word Chet, which means sin or transgression!
  • He has joined himself so hard that we cannot look on, but the letter Alef is part of the same Hebrew word
                          "G-D is reminding us that no matter where we are, we can look to Him and                                                                                call upon His name, for goodness, for mercy and for life."

  • We can be pulled away from sin because of the Alef! The Aluf who is the Champion of our Youth!
  • Even Satan himself, in the end, cannot stop us if we are seeking G-D … he is simply used as an agent of   G-D
Isaiah 45:7
“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.”

                          So even if we fall today, we can look upon the Alef and be lifted up!
                Remembering that He supports the fallen and straightens the bent!
